New Zealand vintage rugby shirt from the 80s.

This is the All Blacks vintage rugby shirt with which they won the 1987 Rugby World Cup: the first rugby world cup ever. It was a World Championship that was an absolute success for the Rugby Union. In fact, the 80s marked the definitive transition from amateur world rugby to professionalism. The success key was the decision to organize the first Rugby World Cup in two of the countries were rugby was very popular: Australia and New Zealand.

In the tournament, the team of the then Five Nations along with Australia and New Zealand qualified for the quarterfinals. The last team to get the spot for wuarterfinals was surprisingly Fiji that defeated Italy and the Pumas of Argentina. One of the first historical matches of that World Cup was the semifinals between Australia and France played in Sydney. Before a totally australian audience the French achieved a try in the time of discount led by Serge Blanco that meant the pass to the final for Les Bleus. There they found some All blacks who did not grant many opportunities. With a team with hard players among which were the mythical Wayne Shelford, Michael Jones or the Whetton brothers in command of a fearsome front. New Zealand won the final by 29-9 although the France national rugby union team came back to Europe with their heads held high.

All Blacks long-sleeved vintage polo shirt with a high grammage cotton that faithfully reproduces the original model. For All Blacks fans and vintage fashion lovers.
